Founded in 2007, Bitlis Eren University was established to meet the higher education needs of Bitlis. With expanded educational opportunities, young people in the region have the chance to look to the future with greater confidence. The modern facilities and amenities on campus support students throughout their academic journey and promote broader social development.

Project Details:

In addition to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Rectorate Building, the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, the School of Physical Education and Sports, and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, all of which were constructed by Eren Holding, the campus also features numerous facilities that support the social and academic lives of students.

  • Housing Facilities: To meet the accommodation needs of students and academic staff, a residential building with 20+1 apartments was completed between 2016 and 2018, followed by another building of the same capacity that became operational in 2021–2022. In addition, a residential complex with 33 apartments was constructed during the 2022–2023 period.

  • Ski Facility: Completed in 2021, the facility was established to encourage youth participation in sports activities in the region.

  • Guesthouse: Completed in 2014, the 6,700 square meter guesthouse offers comfortable accommodation for academics and guests visiting the university.

  • Central Dining Hall: Equipped with modern facilities, the central dining hall provides meal services to meet the needs of both students and staff.

Bitlis Eren University has been included in the Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program in the field of Tourism.

Within the scope of a protocol signed with the Department of Underwater Technology at Gedik University, the Bitlis Eren University Vocational School of Welding project has been launched. The program, which will include non-destructive testing, welding, and underwater welding departments, is scheduled to commence in the 2027–2028 academic year. With what will be the most advanced infrastructure in Türkiye, the program is expected to contribute to addressing the country’s employment gap in the field of welding.

Project Objectives:

To increase access to higher education for young people in the region, contribute to the region’s socio-economic development by training qualified human resources, and modernize the region’s educational infrastructure.
