Adilcevaz walnuts, grown in Adilcevaz and surrounding districts of Bitlis, play an important role in Türkiye’s walnut production and are distinguished by their unique flavour and quality, protected by a geographical indication. Building on this potential, the Adilcevaz Walnut Project was launched to expand production areas and fully realize the region’s capacity.
| Project Details: | Within the scope of the project, a total of 41,910 ungrafted walnut saplings were distributed, with 5,000 to Mutki, 20,000 to Hizan, and 16,910 to Adilcevaz district. These distributions were carried out under the coordination of the Provincial and District Agricultural Directorates and documented with detailed reports.
