Modern Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. has 100 MW power capacity in total three facilities. These facilities, which are using natural gas to produce electricity, have also a capacity of 295 tons/h steam power.
Modern Enerji is one of the rare business enterprises in this sector because of efficient using of resourses by selling almost all the produced steam energy in addition to electricity.
The infrastructure for the largest private thermal power plant is being developed in the city of Zonguldak. When complete, this power plant will have a capacity of 160 MW.
A conventional steam boiler with a capacity of 135 ton/h is under construction. The steam from the boiler will pass through a 13 MWe steam turbine generator with back pressure for electricity production, and then will be used in process. Water treatment for this plant will be provided by a demineralisation plant with a capacity of 150 ton/h.
Modern Enerji will connect to the high-voltage network with the ongoing 154 kV switch yard and high voltage power transmission line investment.
