Eren Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. is a thermic power plant consisting of 3 units with the investment value of 1,6 billion $ in Zonguldak, Çatalağzı. The first phase comprises with a 160 MW capacity circular fluid bearing power plant and has started to operate in July 2010. The power capacity of the second and third phases of the investment are 600 MW each and they became operational at the end of 2010. Both 600 MW units are considered to be the first and the most efficient supercritical power plants in Turkey. Today Eren Enerji has the ability to produce the 5% of the electricty demand of Turkey and it has provided employment opportunities for 560 people.

In addition to the 1360 MW power plant , a harbour has been built to provide the required amount of coal to the Eren Enerji. This harbour is suitable for the 170,000 DWT ships and it is the biggest harbour of the Blacksea coast.
