Eren Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. is realizing a 1360 MW capacity coal-based thermoelectric power plant investment in Çatalağzı, Zonguldak. The project is composed of 3 phases and the total value of the investment is 1.5 billion USD. The first phase comprises with a 160 MW capacity circular fluid bearing power plant, which has started the operation in 2010.

Modern Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. has three separate gas-fired boiler units of 100 MW installed power capacity. In addition to its electricity production it also has a capacity of 295 tons/h steam energy.
